Teeth Whitening Kits

Do you know anyone that has the whitest teeth you have ever seen? Maybe you just wonder how those movie stars have such white teeth. In some cases, they visit the dentist, receive a teeth-whitening procedure while others purchase a teeth-whitening kit, and do their own bleaching in the privacy of their home.

Teeth can become discolored due to age, the foods we eat, or even from damage. The good news is that you do not have to keep those yellow colored teeth; you can use a teeth-whitening process to give your teeth back their beautiful white shine.

Like was stated early, some people visit their dentist or a cosmetic dentist for whitening procedures. The dentist will use a strong hydrogen peroxide solution that will whiten the teeth. The process may need to be done more than once according to the whiteness you desire, however, with a professional procedure you will not have to worry about any harm coming to your gums. In a few cases, your dentist may provide you with an at home kit to use after he done the process to ensure you obtain the whiteness you want.

Some individuals choose a teeth whitening process known as laser whitening. This process is of course at the high end when it comes to expense, but it will aid in whitening interior stains that are almost impossible to reach with other teeth whitening processes.

If you use a professional, you will more than likely love the results more than if you did the process at home. The main reason this is true, is that you can find teeth whitening kits so you can do the same procedure at home, however, the strength of the whitening agent is not the same.

A professional teeth whitening procedure will cost you more money than an at home kit somewhere between $500 and $1,000. However, it will be supervised and will ensure that your teeth are as white as they can possible get with the method used.

If you do not wish to spend the extra money, sit in the dentist office for hours and possibly visit more than once, you can purchase a teeth whitening kit. The teeth whitening kit will have the same items the dentist uses such as a whitening agent with 36% carbamide peroxide gel, mouth trays that are moldable, a blue laser light, and an enamel-rebuilding solution. This kit is almost the same as the one used professional except for the carbamide peroxide gel. Most professionals use hydrogen peroxide, which is stronger. However, with the moldable trays you will be able to get a better fit, which will protect the soft tissues and gums from damage that can be done from the bleaching agent.

The teeth whitening kits are of course not as strong as what the dentist can provide, however, for an at home teeth whitening process this is the best way to ensure you receive the whitest teeth around without all the added costs of visiting a professional.
